Our story
How a backpack, a chairlift, and a bad case of not wanting to drink gas-station coffee turned into Powder Hounds.
Mark got tired of bad coffee before a ski day. Gas station stuff on the drive up, or nothing at all. So he put a small roaster in the garage and worked it out one batch at a time, learning what 7,000 feet does to a roast. When a batch came out right he filled a backpack and handed bags to people on the chairlift. They kept asking for more. There was no business plan and no pitch, just coffee good enough that people wanted to know where to get it.
That's still how we build it.
The Powder Hounds Pro Team
Built for early starts and long days in the Wasatch. The coffee that goes out before the first chair does.
